The short version
Unique-Scape & Design has designed and built Las Vegas yards since 2001 — patios, turf, retaining walls, drainage — for homeowners and property managers across the Valley. We're family owned by Bob Whitaker, and we hold an active Nevada contractor license. We also take on small commercial work alongside the residential jobs that make up most of what we do.
How this started
Bob started in landscaping in 1986, as a senior in high school, working for a friend's landscape company. He stayed in the trade and worked his way up the whole ladder — labor, then foreman, then supervisor, then vice president — before starting Unique-Scape & Design in 2001.
That's 40 years in Las Vegas landscaping, 25 of them running his own company. It's also why the person quoting your yard is the person who has dug it, run the crew that dug it, and carried the license for it — not a salesman working from a price sheet.
Who else hires us
Alongside the homeowners, we do a good deal of work for production homebuilders — model homes and streetscapes in new Valley communities. It's the kind of work that gets inspected against a builder's own standards and repeated across a development, on a schedule that doesn't move. We don't name the builders here, but it's a fair thing to ask us about on the phone.

Nevada State Contractors Board license #0051392 — C-10 Landscape Contracting, active, first issued January 2001. Bonded ($5,000) and insured. It's the one credential most of the field can't state this plainly, so we lead with it — and you don't have to take our word for any of it:

Two details on that record worth knowing. Bob is the qualified individual himself — he holds the trade qualification personally rather than the company renting someone else's, which is more common in this trade than homeowners realize. And the license carries a $750,000 monetary limit, meaning the state licenses us for work well beyond the size of a typical yard.
It matters most on structural work: a retaining wall holding back a real grade should be built by someone licensed to build it.
We're also a Rain Bird Select Contractor. That one is about the irrigation side — the sprinklers, valves, timers and drip that keep a Valley yard alive through July. It's a manufacturer's certification rather than a state record, so you can't look it up the way you can the license, but it's why we're comfortable working on whatever system is already in your ground.
What we stand behind
Our workmanship warranties, stated plainly: artificial turf 5 years, irrigation 1 year, plants and trees 90 days, and sod 30 days. If something we installed fails inside that window, we come back and make it right.
